c-Integral, a non-profit education and research organization for social justice and libratory transformation, offers learning opportunities in integral transformative leadership development to persons, groups and organizations concerned with social and environmental justice and cultural transformation.
Our purpose is to educate, train and mentor social change agents in an integral approach to liberation and transformation. We seek to develop integral awareness, deepen critical understanding, nurture liberating visions, and foster transformative practices among change agents addressing social injustice in its many forms.
Our work stems from our understanding that oppression—cultural, institutional, interpersonal and psychological manifestations of separateness, ranking and imposition—is the historical root cause of social and environmental injustice and continues to stand as a major obstacle to solving the most pressing issues of humanity and our planet today. Our approach to this work arises from experiencing that transformative practices —embodied in a pedagogy, psychology, ethics, and spirituality of liberation in the context of anti-oppression organizing —are effective and much needed methodologies for personal-collective, or integral, change.
From this integral approach, we perceive these issues from multiple perspectives, acknowledge the personal and collective dimensions of life, understand the many manifestations of oppression, and respond to these with personal integrity and mutual accountability as we purposefully pursue transformative changes throughout society.
c-Integral is part of the on-going movement of social change activism and organizing, and a leader in an emerging force for integral liberation and the next generation of leadership for social and cultural transformation. Our intention is to serve as a resource and a learning community for people committed to liberating transformation that leads to integral well-being and full human development.
